The welcome at Les ânes de Madame is a warm one, and our donkeys are polite!! As soon as you arrive, our donkeys will welcome you with a joyful and thundering hee-haw, it's their way of getting your attention!

Every donkey has its own specific personality. You often hear the expression 'as stubborn as a donkey', but you can never be angry with them for long, they are so lovable. Let's be honest, in just a few moments you'll be completely hooked!

We spend our days with 15 donkeys and have gotten to know their personalities really well; cuddly, clever, capricious as well as the big eaters .... We can then choose how best to teach them to hike and who they should be paired with for hiking.

You may even hear during your stay, phrases like "Don't go all Berthe on me!"

Our donkeys live in the field all year long because they love to be outside and be able to play, to roll in the dust, graze and "pretend to be lawnmowers" as the children say!

Our donkeys live in the field all year long because they love to be outside and be able to play, to roll in the dust, graze and "pretend to be lawnmowers" as the children say!

They have a shelter that is very useful to protect themselves from the insects in summer and to stay dry when it rains in winter. Donkeys are tough animals and are not afraid of the cold, but they hate rain!

We have opted for ecological methods to manage our pastures, we use organic products and whenever possible we prefer homeopathic care products, and essential oils to take care of our donkeys when they are ill. Our donkeys are regularly taken care of by a blacksmith farrier thus ensuring their hooves are in perfect condition for hiking.
